I am a registered and accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and have been working as a counsellor since 2002. I hold BUPA Recognition

I am on the BACP Accredited Register. As an accredited member of BACP I am bound by their Ethical Framework for Good Practice. This includes regular supervision every month. My approach is Person Centred/Integrative which means I work in a person centred way but integrate other approaches if they will help: for example CBT and solution focused therapy.

I am fully qualified and have achieved the following:

I keep my skills up to date by regularly completing further training. I have completed the following training within the last 12 months:

When training, I worked as a counsellor for an addictions agency for 2 years. The work was carried out in Doctors surgeries and at a Probation office, with alcohol dependent people on probation. I also worked for a University counselling service, counselling students. When qualified I worked for the NHS in a criminal justice setting for 9 years.

In my private practice I work extensively for Employee Assistance Providers like BUPA and with private clients, this work can be short term or long term.
